The beauty of the Windows Home Server lies in simplified administration, shared folders and automated client backup. However, it may feel very cumbersome if the user gets locked out from accessing the shared folders or even the server itself. Since the Windows Home Server uses local user credentials to control access, at times these may get locked out or otherwise prevent users from accessing the server.
We are glad to share some of the workarounds to deal with account lockouts on a Windows Home Server by Jesse Torres. Over on jesseweb.com Jesse covers bad credential cache, out of sync passwords and incorrect LAN manager authentication.
