If you have a business or business type needs for a server then you may have been disappointed when DiskStation DS211 targeted for consumers was announced last month by Synology. The great news is that this time Synology is announcing their high-end two-bay NAS server for small business.
According to Synology, DiskStation DS211+ (with a new hardware chassis) is a more reliable solution and gives a quieter working environment. This is made possible by the new 92mm low rotation fan which keeps the DS211+ cooler than its predecessor, to reduce noise output to 19.3 dB(A). The new model is powered by a 1.6MHz CPU and supported by 512MB RAM, a Gigabit LAN port, three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA and SD card reader for file transfers.
Other upgrades include the ability to hot swap hard drives, allowing the easy removal and replacement of drives in case of failure.
Synology DiskStation DS211+ offers a high-performance, secure, and full-featured network attached storage solution that helps small and medium-sized businesses centralize backup, protect critical assets and share files quickly and efficiently. Synology protects your investment in the DS211+ with a 2-year limited warranty.
