When Microsoft first removed Drive Extender from Windows Home Server 2011, there was a lot of uproar, now tempers have cooled and ingenuity kicked in.
A famous quote, “the mother of all inventions is necessity”, is more than fitting in the case of the extinguished Drive Extender. Developers have taken it upon themselves to create what they want and need in their Windows Home Servers. One such participant is working on a Drive Extender contender called Drive Bender, and a Beta will be available as soon as February 21, 2011.
