New and almost happy user here.
I plugged in the UPS then installed Grid Junction. It immediately recognized my UPS with the correct model. It showed 100% power and infinite time. But it shows the PC operating on battery power. When I unplug the UPS from thee wall, nothing changes. Even after several minutes, it still shows 100% power and infinite time remaining. Meanwhile, the UPS is beeping alarmingly.
Also, I did get what I think is a false alarm a few mintues before unplugging, in that WHS alerted me in the console that I had gone to battery. I confirmed that in fact the UPS was still drawing power by looking at the UPS LCD. Anyway, even if I've misunderstood something about the power, shouldn't it show less than infinite time when supposedly or especially when actually on battery power?
Thanks,
Andy
Andy,
Are you using the HID Serial to USB or USB to USB connection to connect your UPS to your WHS? Are you using the correct signalling cable? Could you please post a screenshot? Thanks
