running Visa Media Center without using a modem, but LAN

Hi

I own a vodafone easybox 802, where I can activate NCID so stream Network Caller ID into the network on a specified port. Therefor I do not use a modem, but would like to use this awesome looking Media Center plugin via LAN to show the caller ID on my TV.

Can you please let me know if that's possible, since I already saw some settings in the config file (which somehow is not being considered when settings are changed) MCEAddInHosts as well as port. All changes to the config file have had no effect at all.
