The Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station (Gigabit) MB053LL/A Router does not support the Windows Home Server automatic router configuration over UPnP standards. a) Launch the AirPort Utility in Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac OS X. Select your AirPort from the list and click on "Manual Setup".
b) Enter your password information and click on "OK". If you have not previously set a password, the default Apple AirPort Base Station password is "public".
a) Open the “Internet” section and then click on the "DHCP" tab. Next, click on the + button under DHCP reservations.
b) Enter a description for your home server, for example “Windows Home Server”. Ensure that the “Reserve address by” radio button is selected and click "Continue".
c) Enter your home server's MAC (physical) address. It can be found in the remote access settings page of the home server admin console (do not click the "this computer" button).Next, enter the IP address you would like to reserve for the client, for example “10.0.1.2” and click “Done”.
a) Open the “Advanced” section and then click on the "Port Mapping" tab. Next, click on the + button to add a port mapping.
b) You need to enable forwarding for 3 different ports: HTTP (80), HTTPS (443) , and RWW (4125) . The "Private IP Address" should be the IP address you gave to the Windows Home Server in step 2.Enter the following settings:Service: CustomPublic TCP Port(s): 80, 443, 4125Private IP Address: 10.0.1.2Private TCP Port(s): 80, 443, 4125Click on “Continue” to proceed.
c) Enter a meaningful description, for example: “Windows Home Server Remote Access” and click on “Done” to close the Port Mapping Setup Assistant.
d) Verify that the port mapping has been added under “Allow” and then click the “Update” button.Finally, click “Continue” when prompted to restart your Apple AirPort device.
All done! After you configured your Apple AirPort Extreme N Router for Remote Access you should test the remote connectivity from within your home and from outside of your home.
