The Westell VersaLink 327W DSL Gateway supports the Windows Home Server automatic router configuration over UPnP standards. However, for best results we recommend to manually configure Port Forwarding to your Windows Home Server.
Visit the router's configuration page (http://192.168.1.1 or http://dslrouter) in a new browser window.Login with your username and password.
Click on the Advanced tab and select the Universal Plug and Play option in the sidebar. Checkmark the “UPnP Enable” option under Settings and Apply.
The Westell VersaLink 327W DSL Gateway does not support DHCP address reservation. You must configure your Windows Home Server to use a static IP address before proceeding to the next step.
The Windows Home Server remote access feature requires you to forward port 80, port 443 and port 4125 from your router to the Windows Home Server.a) Click on the Firewall Settings tab and click on Port Forwarding and add a New Port Forwarding Rule. Select HTTPS from the existing service drop down list.
b) Configure the following port forward information; ensure the Host mode is selected and select your Windows Home Server by name or manually enter your WHS LAN IP address and click “APPLY”.
c) Repeat for the HTTP (Port 80) service and RWW (Port 4125). The RWW service is not pre-defined and you must first add a new service definition for Port 4125 (TCP)
All done! After you configured your Westell VersaLink 327W DSL Gateway for Remote Access you should test the remote connectivity from within your home and from outside of your home.
